2016 Season-In-Review

REYNOLDS, ND (September 27) – The checkered flag has finally flown over the 2016 season for the Jordan Adams Racing team and it was a very stout year for the 410 Sprint Car team based out of Reynolds, ND. After kicking off the year with a DNF at the River Cities Speedway opener on April 22nd, the team quickly rebounded to score a podium finish and two sixth place efforts in May before stringing together a series of solid runs in June and July.

“When I think of our year a few races stick out. One of the most fun races was at Devils Lake Speedway when we went from 13th to 2nd,” said Adams. “We also had a good run in Grand Forks and finished 3rd one week.”

A year after picking up the B-main win with the World of Outlaws at Nodak Speedway, Jordan put on one of his best performances of the season when the “Greatest show on dirt” revisited the high-banked three-eighths mile oval.

“One other positive was racing with the World of Outlaws in Minot and finishing a career best 11th place which was the highest of the locals,” he continued.

The previous two seasons Jordan had finished fifth in the NOSA standings. One of his goals this year was to improve his final points position at year’s end, which he successfully did so in both the NOSA and River Cities standings.

“We had a few goals as a team and I had some individual goals. One of those that we accomplished was finishing fourth in NOSA and finishing in the top five in River Cities Speedway points. There were a few individual goals that I didn’t accomplish, but overall looking back I think we had a pretty decent season.”

This season also presented an opportunity to race one of the most prestigious dirt tracks in the country on a much more frequently basis. With Huset’s Speedway being transitioned to Badlands Motor Speedway and switching from Sunday to Saturday nights, the team took full advantage. Rain cancelled a handful of events early on in the season, but Jordan still made it down to Brandon, SD on six occasions and got to compete against some of the Midwest’s best 410 Sprint Car pilots. Throughout the season they built up their notebook on the tricky three-eights mile track and will be ready to come back in 2017 with that much more experience and confidence.

Jordan ended 2016 with 7 top fives and 17 top tens in 38 races.

Jordan and the entire team thanks all of their great sponsors for their continued support!
