Moffett Charges from 20th to 9th at Greenbush!

GREENBUSH, MN (September 7, 2016) – Jackson Moffett backed up his win from a couple weeks at Sheyenne River Speedway with another solid performance last Saturday night at Greenbush Race Park with the NOSA Sprints.
The team had to overcome some adversity as an early tumble in his heat put Jackson towards the back of the starting grid for the main event at the newly reconfigured quarter-mile dirt oval. The driver of the Precision Crop Consulting/Prairie Brand Seed #91M rolled off outside of row ten, but quickly began making his way forward.

Despite a racing surface that took rubber as the race advanced, Jackson was still able to pick off drivers by one by one.

In the late going, Moffett put himself in position for a top ten as he moved past Tom Egeland and Nick Omdahl and capitalized on Dusty Zomer’s bad luck to move into ninth in the closing laps.

Coming off a 17th place effort at River Cities Speedway (with no power steering) the night before, the top 10 run was a nice way to rebound heading into Sunday’s event at Buffalo River Race Park.

Jackson was also the race’s hard charger as he gained 11 spots throughout the 25-lapper.

Unfortunately, Sunday didn’t go as well as the series took on the Glyndon, MN quarter-mile. With the hometown fans in attendance, Jackson raced from sixth to fourth in his heat, which put the Dahlstrom Motors/Speedway Shots machine eighth on grid for the A-main. Jackson’s race ended prematurely has he jumped a tire on the lap 16 restart, which sent him hard into the outside retaining wall.

The car suffered severe damage to the front end, including the frame. The crew spent the rest of their Labor Day weekend trashing on the car to get it ready for Thursday’s race at River Cities Speedway and they say it is good to go.
