GRAND FORKS, ND (March 23, 2017) – This weekend Wade Nygaard and the Auto Finance Super Center crew will open their 2017 season at Race 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas. This year will mark Wade’s 27th season behind the wheel and he hopes to find victory lane early and often, starting with the NCRA 360 Sprint Cars at the Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout.
“First off, I’m really excited to get the racing season started,” he said. “Last year we did really well there and hopefully we can improve ourselves this time around and maybe even get a win.”
2016 was Nygaard Motorsports’ first visit to 81 Speedway and the team fared pretty well. With some of the best 360 Sprint Car drivers in the business in attendance, Wade came home with two top 10 finishes, including a seventh and eighth place effort.
“Last year we built up some pretty good notes so hopefully this year we can apply those and improve our finishes by a few spots,” continued Wade. “We are hoping to get a few practice laps in on Thursday so we can try some different things with the setup before we go racing for real on Friday.”
Looking ahead to the rest of 2017, the Auto Finance Super Center team will be competing at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks most Friday nights, as well as several Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) shows. The team also plans to get out and do a little more traveling this summer and hit some tracks that they haven’t visited for a few years.
Wade is fully stocked with J&J Auto Racing Chassis powered by their Rider Racing Engines and is ready for a full race season at the helm of the Bob & Joan Mullen No. 9N.
Wade and the entire crew would like to thank all of their new and returning sponsors for their continued support including, Auto Finance Super Center, C&M Ford Sales, Inc, ICON Architectural Group, Valley Oral & Facial Surgery, Ground Round Grill & Bar-Grand Forks, ND, Tammy Howard, Greenberg Realty, Dahlstrom Motors Inc., DeMer’s Stor-All, J&J Const.
