Jordan Adams Looks Ahead to Two-Race Weekend at River Cities & Badlands

REYNOLDS, N.D. (May 9, 2017) – Jordan Adams kicked off the 2017 racing season last Friday night at River Cities Speedway in front of a huge crowd. Adams began the night with a top five finish in his heat on a really tricky racing surface.

“The track was really dry in the heat race,” said Jordan. “It was a track where you had to be really disciplined and patient with the throttle. We ran 5th pretty much the whole race until the end we closed in on Ranten and Nygaard. I got a little too impatient and found myself going off the track in turn 1. With a green white checker left, we were able to get back to 5th.”

Adams was slotted in the 14th starting position for the 25-lap Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car feature, but trouble ensued quickly and the driver of the Home of Economy No. 20A was collected in an incident.

“Unfortunately, just like last year, we had a car spin in front of me on the first lap first corner of the feature and I just had no where to go,” said Jordan. “I tried to slide off the track but I just couldn’t get the car to get over the banking.”

Looking ahead, Jordan will be back in action Friday night at River Cities Speedway before heading to Brandon, South Dakota for the Silver Shootout at Badlands Motor Speedway. With track time being so important this early in the season, last Friday’s early race incident has set the team back a bit.

“I’m not sure I logged enough laps to really get a feel into what I need heading into this weekend, said Jordan. “It’s unfortunate as it feels we are a week behind everybody else now, but I am confident I have the car and team behind me to get it back going in the right direction.”
