Mack Shows Good Speed at River Cities with New 410 Motor!

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (May 23, 2017) – After two strong runs at River Cities Speedway with a smaller 360 motor under the hood to start the year, Mitch Mack was really looking forward to this past Friday. With a brand new 410 engine strapped in, Mitch and the team were hoping to back up their podium finish from the previous week.

To start the night, Mitch moved forward in the heat to finish fourth.

“We were a little bit out to lunch in the heat,” said Mitch. “We started ninth and got up to fourth. We tried to put a move on a couple guys there at the end, but that wasn’t happening so we just settled for fourth.”

That put Mitch sixth on the 26-car starting grid for the 25-lap Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car feature. After moving forward early on, Mitch ended his night on the wrecker after an incident on lap five.

“We got up to third pretty quick in the feature and I just maybe over drove the car a little bit going into turn three,” Mitch continued. “I slid off the track and smack the water barrels. The car isn’t that bad. We crunched up the wings, but I don’t think we bent up a radius rod.”

Despite the disappointing result, Mitch is feeling good about the direction of where the team is going.

“The motor ran good and the car handled really well too. Just the driver messed up,” he said.

Mitch and the No. 92 team will be back in action next Friday night at River Cities Speedway!

Mitch and the entire crew would like to thank all of their sponsors for their continued support!
