Austin Pierce Looks to Repeat at Norman County

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 20, 2017) – This week will be a busy one for Austin Pierce and the Lithia Ford / Opp Construction team as they gear up for three big nights of racing this Thursday through Saturday.

Last weekend, Pierce was in action against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, where he raced to a solid 14th place finish in the A-main. On lap four, leader Jacob Allen got upside down, which forced red flag conditions. During the clean up, the skies opened up as torrential rain poured upon the racing surface.

After nearly a two-hour delay, racing resumed on a very fast and tacky River Cities Speedway.

With passing being at a premium for the remainder of the event, Austin came home 14th to lead all NOSA regulars.

“It was a pretty good race for us. I would have liked the race to stay green. Once that rain came, there was just one lane around the bottom,” said Pierce.

This Thursday night, Pierce returns to Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn., the site of his first win of the 2016 season.

“I’m hoping we can repeat at Norman County Raceway on Thursday. It’s really the only half-mile track we go to all year so I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.

On Friday and Saturday, the NOSA circuit returns to River Cities Speedway for a pair of events.

Friday’s event will be broadcasted live on cable television via Midco Sports Network across the five state region.

“That’s going to be great for our sponsors. They’ll be able to get publicity at the track and on TV so that’s really going to be a cool deal.”

The APR crew would like to thank @bww3122 for presenting and supporting all three NOSA events this weekend!

Austin and the entire team would like to thank their sponsors for their continued support!
