Brad Seng Rallies for Top 10 at Devils Lake Speedway

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 24, 2017) – Brad Seng recorded his 13th top 10 finish of the season Saturday night at Devils Lake Speedway in Doyon, N.D. Racing at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks was rained out around 4pm on Friday, which allowed the S&S Transport / Anderson Brothers Body Shop No. 12S team to make a rare appearance at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn.

Unfortunately, racing was also washed out at the high-banked three-eighths mile oval.

Saturday brought a welcomed reprieve from the heat, along with sunny skies as the NLRA Late Models co-headlined the night with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints at Devils Lake Speedway.

After a rough start to the heat, Seng was able to recover for a third place finish after being charged for a caution early on.

From there, Seng started 10th on the 23-car grid for the 25-lap main event.

The high-banked quarter-mile dirt oval featured two distinct racing grooves along the top and bottom of the speedway throughout the race. Seng methodically worked his way forward, moving by Mike Balcaen and Dave Smith before avoiding a five car pile up in turn one at the halfway point.

Seng battled with pole sitter, Robert “Hot Rod” Hellebust, Kevin Robertson, and Shane Edginton in the closing laps before racing to a sixth place finish behind Hellebust.

Up next for Seng will be the weekly Premier Racing Series event at River Cities Speedway on Friday. The following week, he will be gearing up for a busy five-race stretch in five days, featuring four NLRA tour events.

Seng currently sits fourth in NLRA series points, 54 markers behind Ricky Weiss and Dustin Strand, who are tied atop the standings.
