Jason Strand Build Momentum Entering Two-Race Weekend!

PORTLAND, N.D. (July 18, 2017) – Jason Strand recorded his fourth podium finish of the 2017 season last Thursday at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. After a fourth place effort in his heat, Strand was slated in the fifth starting position for the 20-lap main event.

“The track was pretty good in the feature,” said Strand. “I was committed to the bottom and had to stay there. I couldn’t run the top because I would run out of speed. I’m happy with third. Dale (Kraling) got the win and Brady Petermann was second and he’s a good runner. It was a good night.”

On Sunday, Strand was in action at Red River Valley Speedway during the Red River Valley Fair special. The driver of the North Dakota Corn / American Ethanol No. E85 had a tough start tonight after an unfavorable draw put him deep in the starting for the heat.

Strand would have to settle for a seventh place run, which set him up in the 19th starting position for the feature.

“We made a bunch of changes after the heat and tried some new stuff,” he said. “Since we started so far back we figured we’d try something. It worked well. It’s just that it’s tough to pass and sometimes guys are side by side and there’s nowhere else to go. I was happy with how it went.”

The E85 Racing team will be racing Thursday night at Norman County Raceway and Friday at Red River Valley Speedway this week. Racing starts at 7pm both nights.

Jason and the entire E85 Racing team would like to thank all their sponsors for their continued support!
