Lee Grosz looks to go back-to-back at Jackson this weekend!

HARWOOD, N.D. (July 18, 2017) – This coming weekend, Lee Grosz and the Beds by Design / Kyle Johnson Trucking team will return to Jackson Motorplex with the MSTS 360 Sprints. Coming off the heels of a feature win at the semi-banked half-mile dirt oval on July 7th, Grosz will be looking to return to victory lane on Saturday night.

Last weekend, Grosz had a busy three-race schedule on tap beginning on Friday at Wagner (SD) Speedway.

After driving from third to second in the heat, Grosz started ninth on the 23-car field. Grosz wheeled his way past Dylan Peterson and Eric Lutz during the MSTS 360 / Nebraska 360 co-sanctioned main event.

At the checkers, Grosz came home sixth, which would mark his best finish of the weekend.

On Saturday, the team unloaded at Park Jefferson Speedway for another co-sanctioned event between the MSTS and Nebraska 360 groups.

“We started fifth in the heat and finished fourth. There wasn’t a ton of passing, but it would have been nice to get one spot better and get into the redraw,” said Grosz. “I started 11th in the feature and worked my way up to seventh by the end of it. We were okay. I moved around a bit running back there because I figured what’s the difference between running seventh or 10th.”

On Sunday, the Lee Grosz Racing team returned to their home track, Red River Valley Speedway to run with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints.

Grosz started ninth in the feature after running fourth in his heat.

“I got up to sixth or seventh, but I ended up slipping back,” he said. “I thought those double file restarts might help me get by a few more cars, but you can’t push the issue when everybody is slipping and sliding like that. I felt like I was faster than a few other cars, but the top side was just a little too fast to make any passes.”

Grosz had a solid eighth place run going when the powerplant let go on the final lap.

“Looks like there’s not going to be much left of this motor, but we’ll put the other motor back in and hopefully finish the season strong,” concluded Grosz.
