NASCAR’s Rusty Wallace to be Grand Marshall of World of Outlaws Late Model event at River Cities!

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 29, 2017) – Since 2006, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series has been a staple on the River Cities Speedway schedule. The same holds true in 2017, but this year’s event on July 14th will have a little extra excitement as NASCAR Hall of Fame driver, Rusty Wallace, will be the Grand Marshall of ACME Tools 50, featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models.

The 55-time NASCAR Cup series winner will be partaking is several raceday activities, including addressing the crowd during intermission on the main stage in front of the grandstands.

Wallace will also be signing autographs earlier that afternoon from 2:30-3:30pm at Acme Tools, North Dakota’s only JET Select dealer.

The St. Louis, Missouri native now resides in Charlotte, North Carolina and began his NASCAR career by claiming the 1984 Rookie of the Year. Over his career, Wallace won at least one race for 16 consecutive seasons, which ranks as the third longest streak in NASCAR’s history. Wallace’s NASCAR career is highlighted by his series championship, which he captured in 1989.

Wallace’s 55 victories puts him eighth on NASCAR’s all-time wins list. He also led nearly 20,000 laps in his famous Penske Racing / Miller Lite No. 2, which ranked him seventh all-time at his retirement in 2005.
