Adams Eyes Podium Points Finish at River Cities Speedway
REYNOLDS, N.D. (August 22, 2017) – As the calendar moves toward the final weekend in August, race teams on the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car circuit are beginning to shift their focus on points. For Jordan Adams and the Home of Economy / Amity Technology team, their consistency throughout the entire 2017 season has put them in solid position as the season winds down.
Entering Friday night’s event at River Cities Speedway, Jordan sat third in track points just eight markers behind second place Casey Mack.
“Points are definitely starting to become a factor as the season starts to wind down. It would be nice to get another spot in points,” said Jordan. “River Cities is always tough, so to be in the top five is an accomplishment itself.”
Dating back to June 30th, Jordan has finished in the top five in four of the last five NOSA races at the Bullring, including two third place finishes on July 28th and August 4th.
In the NOSA series point standings, Jordan also sits solidly in the third spot.
WEEKEND RECAP:
The Tony Anderson Construction / American Crystal Sugar No. 20A scored a sixth place finish with the NOSA Sprints on Saturday at Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, Minn.
“Saturday night was a step in the right direction. The heat race was okay,” said Jordan of his runner-up finish to start the night. “In the feature we started fourth and ran there for awhile. Towards the end we really started to come on, but it was a little too late. We were faster than sixth, but I’m pleased with it on a slick track.”
The sixth place effort marked the team’s 11th top 10 of the season.
On Friday, Jordan took on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series for the final time in 2017 at River Cities Speedway. Unfortunately, an unfavorable pill draw set the tone for a tough night.
Jordan moved up one position in his heat to finish eighth on a fast and tacky racing surface. From there, the Reynolds, N.D. driver battled his way forward in the C-Main, but came up one spot shy of transferring into the B-Main.
This coming Friday, the team will be looking to extend their top five steak with the NOSA Sprints at River Cities Speedway. Green flag drops at 7pm.
