Brad Seng Collects NLRA Win at Devils Lake Speedway!

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 21, 2017) – Brad Seng scored his fourth win of the season Saturday night at Devils Lake Speedway with the NLRA Late Models. Seng started on the pole of the 25-lap, 21-car main event after picking up his seventh heat win of the season.

Seng held off fellow front-row starter, Ricky Weiss, to claim the $1,200 payday and the clean sweep.

The win marked Seng’s fourth career triumph at the Crary, N.D. high-banked quarter-mile and first since 2015.

Seng was also in action with the NLRA Late Models Thursday and Friday night.

On Thursday at Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, MB, a bad pill draw put Seng behind the eight ball right away.

Seng started dead last in the third and final heat, but managed to drive from eighth and salvage a fifth place finish. From there, the driver of the S&S Transport / Valley Oral No. 12S charged his way forward in the feature, advancing from 15th to fifth.

Friday brought the Brad Seng Racing team to River Cities Speedway as the NLRA Late Models co-headlined the night with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. Seng finished third in heat three from the fifth starting position, which placed him eighth on the 24-car grid.

Seng battled with Dustin Strand, Donny Schatz, and Ricky Weiss in the second half of the race as the four veteran drivers all battled for position within the top five. Seng capitalized on a late-race restart to move into the third position. Seng would hang on to that spot to claim his ninth podium finish of the season.

Next week, Seng will be back in action with the NLRA Late Models on Wednesday as they make their only appearance of the season at Red River Valley Speedway.

Seng has one win in NLRA action at Red River Valley Speedway, which came on the series’ first ever race at the West Fargo track on June 20, 2009. He also has a WISSOTA Late Model win to his credit on the three-eighths mile configuration, which came in 2011.

Following Wednesday’s event, Seng will head back to River Cities Speedway for season championship night, before making the haul east to Greenbush Race Park with the NLRA Late Models on Saturday.
