GROSZ SCORES RUNNER-UP FINISH WITH MSTS 360S!
The crew went to work and made a few adjustments on the Kyle Johnson Trucking / Wesmar Racing Engine entry before the night’s main event.
“We tried a few new things with the setup and it went pretty well I thought,” continued Lee. “We started third in the feature, got to second, and I was working on Jody [Rosenboom] for the lead. Then Bakker ended up sneaking underneath us. He was running the bottom in three and four, while Jody and I were running the top pretty much the whole way around. Once he got by me, I went down to try to run Bakker’s line, but I couldn’t get it to work.”
The yellow flew around the midway point of the feature. Under caution, Rosenboom suffered a flat tire, which sent him to the work area and put Lee back into second.
“On the restart I figured I would try the top again because I knew Bakker would stay on the bottom,” Lee said. “We came out with a second place run, which wasn’t too bad. All in all it was a good night.”
Lee will follow the MSTS tour to Jackson Motorplex on Friday and Park Jefferson Speedway on Saturday. In his five races at Jackson Motorplex his season, Lee has yet to finish outside of the podium. His two best finishes came on June 9th, where he scored a second place finish and his most recent visit on July 7th, where to visited victory lane.
In three appearances at Park Jefferson in 2017, Lee has two third place finishes, as well as a seventh place effort.
