Jordan Adams Charges to Top Five at River Cities

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 30, 2017) – Jordan Adams recorded his fourth top five finish in the last five NOSA races at River Cities Speedway on Friday night. The driver of the Home of Economy / Amity Technology No. 20A charged from the 12th position to finish fourth by the end of the 25-lap Buffalo Wild Wings main event.

The night got off to a promising start for Jordan as he nearly raced to a heat race win.

“Our car was great Friday night all night,” said Jordan. “Had it going real good in the heat race and made a mistake. Was pretty disappointed in myself but moved on from it and made ground up in the feature. We are getting this Maxim dialed in and I’m feeling more comfortable every week. It was a good recovery to finish fourth when a lot of the fast guys started in the first couple rows.”

Jordan passed five cars in the first nine laps to secure the seventh spot. From there, he took advantage of a restart with five laps to go to move up the running order even more.

After second place runner Austin Pierce retired from the event due to a mechanical issue, Jordan stormed by Zach Wilde and Nick Omdahl on lap 20 to move into fourth.

The Reynolds, N.D. driver set his sights on polesitter, Wade Nygaard, for third but ran out of laps and took the checkers in fourth.

Jordan’s solid run propelled him past Casey Mack into second in the River Cities Speedway point standings. He sits 61 points behind Austin Pierce and has a slim six point advantage over Casey Mack with four races remaining on the season.

“It adds a little pressure but if we can go out and keep doing what we’ve been doing the last month at River Cities Speedway, I think we will be just fine,” concluded Jordan.
