GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 20, 2017) – The 2017 season continues this weekend for the Nygaard Motorsports crew with the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Series in Wheatland, Mo. Wade will be making his first-ever appearance at Lucas Oil Speedway at the seventh annual Hockett/McMillin Memorial.

“I’m looking forward to getting to another new track. I’ve studied a lot of video on the place and it looks like an awesome facility and I can’t wait to get there to see it,” Wade said. “Hopefully we draw some good numbers. The competition is going to be pretty tough, we know that, but it’s doable to run well with those guys. We just need everything to fall into place and have a little luck.”

Regular Nygaard Motorsports crew members, Jeff and Neil, had other commitments this weekend so Todd Slocum will be joining Wade to wrench on the car this weekend.

Last weekend, Wade raced to his NOSA leading 14th career victory at Devils Lake Speedway.

At the drop of the green flag, Wade began working his way forward. Wade drove by Shane Roemeling for the lead on lap two, but shortly thereafter the red flag was displayed, which prompted a complete restart.

On the restart, Nick Omdahl, who has two Devils Lake Speedway wins to his credit in 2017, took the lead with Casey Mack in tow.

Mack, who also has a 2017 Devils Lake Speedway win, took the lead from Omdahl and went on to lead the majority of the race. A caution with eight laps to go put Wade on the rear bumper of Mack for the restart and Nygaard took full advantage.

Wade moved by Mack to take the point and went on to lead all of the remaining laps. Mack gave Wade everything he had on the final lap, but came up short at the checkers.

“That was probably the best track I’ve raced on at Devils Lake in quite a while. They had a nice top and bottom and it was really racy,” said Wade.
