Setting Sail for Viking Speedway!

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 1, 2017) – Tonight Brad Seng will be back in action at River Cities Speedway with the Performance Auto Late Models, where he will be looking to rebound after a short outing last Friday.

Brad began the night by finishing second in his heat race. Brad battled side by side with Joey Pederson for several laps before Pederson powered to the lead with a slidejob in turns one and two.

The runner-up finish put Brad fifth on the starting grid for the A-main. Unfortunately, Brad’s feature only lasted five laps as contact with another car cut down his right rear tire. Brad was forced to exit the racing surface under green, which ultimately retired him from the event.

On Wednesday, Brad was in action with the NLRA Late Model at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo. Brad’s third place finish in his heat mired him back in ninth for the 25-lap main event.

The full field of 24 Late Models went the distance caution-free on the smooth and slick three-eighths mile dirt oval. Brad charged through the field in the early going to crack the top five. From there, he had to battle with Mike Balcaen and Adam Fischer. The driver of the S&S Transport / Anderson Brothers Body Shop No. 12S maneuvered past Fischer for fourth in the closing stages.

Brad ran the remaining laps trying to reel in Balcaen and took the checkers in the fourth spot.

Saturday’s NLRA event at Greenbush Race Park was canceled due to rain.

Brad currently sits second in NLRA series points with three races remaining on the schedule. The Brad Seng Racing team will also be racing at Viking Speedway this weekend with the NLRA tour.

Brad has four career wins at the “high-flyin’ half-mile” in Alexandria, Minn.
