ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (October 7, 2017) – Brad Seng and the S&S Transport team will bring the 2017 season to a close this weekend at the Viking Fall Classic at Viking Speedway. This year the two-day show will feature two complete WISSOTA points paying events.

Coming into the weekend, Brad currently sits tied for ninth in the WISSOTA national Late Model point standings. With just two weeks left in the season, this weekend will be pivotal in securing a top 10 position in the national points.

In his four previous starts at Viking Speedway this year, Brad has two podium finishes and three top fives overall. Brad’s worst finish at the high-flyin’ half-mile was a sixth place finish in NLRA competition.

WEEKEND RECAP:
Last weekend, Brad was in action north of the border at Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba for the Prairie Classic. The two-day show also featured two-complete WISSOTA points paying events.

On Friday night, Brad began the weekend by racing to a third place finish in his heat, which placed him seventh on the starting grid for the main event.

After 20 trips around the high-banked three-eighths mile clay oval, Brad took the checkers in fifth to capture his 21st top five finish of the season..

On Saturday, Brad’s night got off to a little better start as he raced to heat race win number nine of the season. Brad was the lone American driver in the eight-car heat race field, but drove from third to capture the win, which put him on the outside of the front row for the main event.

At the drop of the green flag for the feature, pole sitter Ricky Weiss got out to the early lead, while Brad settled into second. Brad rode in the tracks of Weiss for the majority of the race, but Weiss continued to stretch out his advantage as the race advanced.

In the closing laps, Brad had his hands full with defending WISSOTA national champion, Dustin Strand. The two former NLRA champions went head to head for the runner-up spot, which Strand stole from Brad on the final lap at the line.

Brad was relegated back to third to round out the podium.
