Adams Races to Top 10 at River Cities Opener

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (May 15, 2018) – The 2018 season is underway for both River Cities Speedway and the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints. Jordan Adams made his third start of the season aboard the Home of Economy / DEKALB® No. 20A.

Mired in a stacked heat race, Adams started and finished fourth in the 10-lap affair. That put the Reynolds, N.D. driver in the 11th starting position for the main event.

Adams quickly moved up the grid as the green flag waved, reaching the seventh position before lap five. However, a restart on lap four shuffled Adams back to 10th. Adams scratched and clawed his way forward throughout the remainder of the event.

“The new car was pretty good Friday,” said Adams. “In the heat race we held our own. In the feature we made gains. The track was total opposites with turns one and two being heavy and three and four really dry.”

In the closing laps, Adams battled with Jade Hastings to reclaim the seventh spot. On the final lap, Adams was able to secure the position before the checkers.

“It was nice to grab a top 10 right off the bat,” he said. “This week I look to build off that and do better.”

This weekend, Adams will be racing with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints at River Cities Speedway on Friday night. On Saturday, he will make his season debut at Devils Lake Speedway in Crary, N.D.

Last year at Devils Lake, Adams picked up a pair of top tens at the high-banked quarter-mile oval. He has a career-best finish of second at Devils Lake.
