GRAND FORKS, ND (April 29, 2018) – In 2017, Midco Sports Network put on the first-ever live cable television broadcast from River Cities Speedway (RCS). The reaction from race fans, drivers and sponsors was overwhelming. In 2018, MidcoSN is coming back for more.

River Cities Speedway and MidcoSN are proud to announce they have teamed up once again to broadcast the June 29 races at the legendary three-tenths mile clay oval. The evening will feature the Premier Racing Series, including the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA 410 Sprints, Performance Auto Late Models, Happy Harrys Midwest Modifieds and Wells Concrete Street Stocks.

MidcoSN is the leader for high school and collegiate sports coverage in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota, as well as motorsports coverage with their weekly Midco Motorsports program.

“MidcoSN is excited to televise live local racing from River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND. This will be a fun addition to our Midco Motorsports weekly show and brings live racing to fans across our region,” said Mark Powell, Vice President of MidcoSN.

“Having Midco come in and broadcast from River Cities is great,” added the winningest Sprint Car driver in RCS history, Mark Dobmeier. “We have an excellent show here each week with great car counts and a high level of competition so it’s going to be great to be able to share that with everybody a little too far away to make it here on a regular night.”

From North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, race fans all across the upper Midwest will be able to tune in to some of the best dirt track racing in the country, provided by an Emmy-award winning production crew.

“Any extra media or attention is great for the sport as a whole. There might be some people out there that haven’t been to the races in a while, but if they’re sitting at home and see it on TV, they’ll probably tune in and hopefully they’ll want to come out to the races in person the next week.” continued Dobmeier.

The commentators for the broadcast bring in a lot of experience themselves as long-time race fan and host Brian Shawn, will be joined by color analyst and three-time NOSA Sprint Car champion, Chris Shirek.
