Seng Records Top 10 in NLRA Opener

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (May 24, 2018) – After Friday night’s event at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks was canceled due to rain, the Brad Seng Racing crew made the 65 mile trip west to Devils Lake Speedway in Crary, N.D. on Saturday.

The first Northern Late Model Racing Association event of 2018 brought in a strong 17-car field at the high-banked quarter-mile clay oval.

Brad began the night by racing to a fourth place finish in his heat. That mired the three-time NLRA champion back in 12th for the 25-lap main event.

Seng quickly moved into the top 10 at the start, moving into 10th on lap five. Seng picked off two more positions to move into eighth on lap seven, but his run to the front stalled out there.

Seng finally broke through to move up to seventh with seven to go and made it as high as fifth on the final lap. However, Kevin Robertson snuck by Seng coming to the checkers to steal the final top five position.

Seng will be back in action Friday night at River Cities Speedway for weekly WISSOTA Late Model racing. Saturday, he is tentatively scheduled to be running at Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minn.
