Adams looks ahead to big weekend of NOSA racing

REYNOLDS, N.D. (June 20, 2018) – Summer is officially here tomorrow, June 21st, and to celebrate, the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints are ramping up for a big four-race weekend in four days, covering three states. Jordan Adams and the Home of Economy / DEKALB No. 20A team will be racing each night, looking to claim that elusive first win of the season.
On Thursday, the NOSA Sprints make their first of two appearances of the year to Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. The big three-eighths mile dirt oval is always racey and provides plenty of speed down it’s long straightaways. Jordan will be looking to improve upon his 11th place effort there last year.

The following night will bring the NOSA Sprints to their Friday night home, River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. In three previous NOSA events at the Bullring in 2018, Jordan has three top 10 finishes including a fifth place run on May 25th.

The rest of the weekend, the NOSA Sprints will be racing in South Dakota for the first time since 2011. On Saturday, they will take on Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen. Jordan’s last appearance at the three-eighths mile oval came on June 19th, 2016 with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

Sunday, Jordan will be making his first-ever appearance to the tight, tricky quarter-mile of Casino Speedway in Watertown.

“It’s going to be a long weekend of racing,” said Jordan. “Some wins would be nice here, that would start taking care of the points situation. I am excited to get things going on Thursday in Ada.”

Entering the weekend, Jordan sits fourth in the NOSA standings, just 19 points out of the lead.

Last weekend, Jordan ran two events against the World of Outlaws. On Friday, Jordan ran seventh in his heat before finishing seventh in the Last Chance Showdown and missing the final transfer spot by three positions.

On Sunday, the Jordan Adams Racing team made the haul to Nodak Speedway in Minot, N.D. Again, Jordan ran seventh in his heat, but transferred to the A-main after a third place finish in the Last Chance Showdown. Jordan took the checkers in 20th by the end of the 30-lap A-main.
