Adams Returns to Action, Looks Ahead to Second Half of 2018 Season

By Spieker Promotions

REYNOLDS, N.D. (July 19, 2018) – Coming into Friday’s event at River Cities Speedway, the Jordan Adams Racing team was clicking right along. Running third in NOSA points, Adams had a string of three consecutive top fives to his credit, including a third place finish at Greenbush.

However, mechanical issues plagued the No. 20A team at the Bullring.

“In the heat race we just had a simple mechanical error,” said Adams. “The fuel lines were left loose so we were losing power every lap. W got those tightened up for the feature and started 20th. We got ourselves up to 10th and we’re moving pretty well. After a restart, I caught the rut in turn one and ended up sliding off the track and caught the water barrels. So we tagged the rear and got back to 13th… fitting for the fiasco on Friday the 13th. The last four laps we dropped a valve which left us motorless for the rest of the weekend as our other motor had just got shipped back on Friday.”

Missing Saturday’s event at Devils Lake Speedway and Sunday’s event at Red River Valley Speedway, Adams took a hit in the NOSA points. He currently sits fourth, 130 points out of the lead.

“It’s really disappointing dropping out of points contention now especially after all our consistency and a strong start to the year,” continued Adams. “But, now we have one thing to focus on and that’s winning.”

Adams will return to action tonight at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn., where he finished fourth on June 21st. The JAR team will follow the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints to River Cities Speedway on Friday and Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday.
