HARWOOD, N.D. (July 12, 2018) – Following a pair of events at Wagner Speedway in Wagner, S.D. last weekend, Lee Grosz and the HI-10 Sports Center / J&J team are gearing up for another big weekend.
The event will mark Grosz’s first-ever appearance at the big half mile dirt oval.
On Friday, the team will head to Jackson Motorplex for the second of two MSTS events on the weekend.
The weekend will wrap up for the Harwood, N.D. driver Sunday evening at his home track. Grosz will be back in action with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA 410 Sprints at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo. Grosz had a strong showing in last year’s event at Red River Valley, battling for eighth until the powerplant let go on the final lap.
“I’m excited to get to [Sioux Speedway and Red River Valley]. I’ve raced at Sioux Center before so it’ll be cool to race there for the last sprint car race, being rumor is that it’s shutting down,” said Grosz. “I always look forward to racing Fargo in front of the home crowd with packed stands for the fair race.”
In last weekend’s events at Wagner Speedway, Grosz brought the No. 4J machine home in eighth each night.
“It wasn’t the best weekend by any means. On Friday, I ended up tipping over in the heat and getting it patched up enough to run the feature,” Grosz explained. “I charged from 21st to eighth. My guys worked their butt off to make the best of a bad situation.”
Sunday’s race at Red River Valley Speedway is free for spectators with the purchase of a Red River Valley Fair gate admission.
