WINNIPEG, Manitoba (July 3, 2018) – Thomas Kennedy and the KennedyFloorings.com / Buffalo Wild Wings team returned to victory lane last weekend. Kennedy returned to Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. on Friday night with the MSTS / Nebraska 360 Sprints.

After charging from fifth to win the fourth and final heat race, Kennedy raced to a third place finish in the dash.

Kennedy took the lead from Derrik Lusk on lap seven before setting sail and checking out.

On lap 13 of 25, contact was made between Kennedy and a lapped car, which sent Kennedy spinning in turn four. Kennedy kept his foot on the throttle and regained control of his machine and kept it from stalling.

Meanwhile, Cody Ledger inherited the lead and drove out to a 10 car length advantage as Kennedy got back up to speed in second.

It took just two laps for Kennedy to reel in Ledger before he made the pass for the lead on the highside in lapped traffic. Once out front, the Winnipeg, Manitoba driver built up a lead he would not relinquish as he cruised to his fourth win of the season.

On Saturday, the team made the haul to Knoxville Raceway. Running with the 360s, Kennedy lined up 11th in the feature after finishing third in his heat.

Kennedy quickly made his way into the top 10 and continued his way up the running order throughout the race. Kennedy moved into fourth on lap six and ran in that position until the red flag was display with four laps to go. While under the red race officials called the race due to incoming dangerous weather.

The race was declared official and Kennedy was credited with fourth place.

This weekend, Kennedy will be back in action with the MSTS 360s for their two-night show at Wagner Speedway in Wagner, South Dakota. Two of Kennedy’s four wins this season have come with the MSTS 360s and one of them came at Wagner Speedway back on May 5th.

A big thanks goes out to all the Kennedy Racing Team sponsors: Kennedy Floorings, Buffalo Wild Wings, Big Trucks by Jimco, General Signs and Speedway Shots.
