Dobmeier Charges to 11th Win of 2018!
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 28, 2018) – A week removed from his 17th to second effort with the World of Outlaws at River Cities Speedway, Mark Dobmeier wowed the Grand Forks crowd once again as he collected the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA feature win on Friday night.
Dobmeier cruised from eighth to take the lead on lap five after a back-and-forth battle with Wade Nygaard.
Several cautions plagued the latter stages of the 25-lap event, but Dobmeier was strong on each and every restart.
“It was definitely a technical track,” said Dobmeier after the race. “Starting eighth, I knew it was going to take a deep, hard charge to get up front. Luckily they had the bus races before our feature, which helped bring some moisture up and gave us a race track for about 10 laps. Once we got going, it was pretty much all around the top. But even towards the end, you couldn’t whistle around there wide open, it was very technical to just stay up there without sliding off.”
The win marks Dobmeier’s seventh win of the season at the Bullring and 11th overall of the season.
Dobmeier’s track record with the NOSA Sprints has been unrivaled. The series’ all-time wins leader has scored 11 wins in his 15 starts this season. In three of the four races he hasn’t won have resulted in DNF’s where he had been running either first or second.
Team 13 Racing has just one event on the card for this weekend. Dobmeier will be back at his home track, River Cities Speedway, with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints on Friday night.
Mark and the entire Team 13 Racing crew would like to thank all their sponsors for their support!
