Grosz Gears Up For MSTS Double-Header Following 360 Nationals

By Spieker Promotions

HARWOOD, N.D. (August 15, 2018) – With the 360 Knoxville Nationals in the books, the focus for the Lee Grosz Racing team switches to the MSTS 360s. A pair of events are on tap this weekend, starting with Jackson Motorplex on Friday night.
The $5,000-to-win event at Jackson will be co-sanctioned among the MSTS 360s, Nebraska 360s, and Midwest Power Series. Entering the weekend, Grosz holds a slim 21 point margin over Jack Dover atop the MSTS point standings.

“I try not to think too much about the points, but it’s always in the back of your mind,” said Grosz. “Obviously, every time we go to the track we are going for the win. If you go out and do your best each night, usually the points will take care of themselves. We’re looking forward to getting back to the MSTS schedule.”

Grosz’s 360 Knoxville Nationals didn’t go as well as planned, but the team made improvements to the car each time it hit the track.

After pulling pill No. 74 out of 75 for time trials on his preliminary night, Grosz went out to set the 21st fastest time. A third-place finish in the heat locked the HI-10 Sports Center / Fischer Auto Body No 4J in 14th starting spot in the main event.

“I feel like we got better each time out on Thursday,” said Grosz. “Come Saturday, we started 14th in the B-Main. We tried some new things and they didn’t work out very well. Instead of riding around and risking any damage, I just decided to pull in. I guess it was an okay weekend. We made it to the B-Main, which we can’t complain given the amount and quality of cars here.”

Lee and the entire team would like to thank all of their sponsors for their continued support!
