Seng Garners Three Podium Finishes with NLRA

By Mike Spieker

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 6, 2018) – It was a busy weekend for Brad Seng and the S&S Transport team. Three Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) events took them to Grand Forks, Jamestown and Minot from Friday through Sunday.
In all three events, Seng finished no worse than third.

On Friday, Seng unloaded his No. 12S MB Customs at River Cities Speedway. After a second place finish in his heat, Seng lined up seventh in the feature. The three-time NLRA champion charged all the way up to the runner-up spot, which is where he completed the 20-lap feature.

The lone Jamestown Speedway appearance by the NLRA Late Models was on tap for Saturday. Seng started seventh again in the feature following a third-place effort in his heat. Again, Seng moved forward in the main event, grabbing a podium finish after taking the checkers in third.

The weekend came to a close at Nodak Speedway, where the NLRA was making its first visit since 2011. Seng drove from fifth to second in his heat, which put him fifth on the grid for the feature. Seng battled with Mike Balcaen, Dustin Strand and Donny Schatz throughout the 30-lap feature at the high-banked three-eighths mile clay oval.

Seng came away with a solid third place finish to round out the podium once again.

Next week, Seng will return to River Cities Speedway for weekly WISSOTA Late Model action.
