REYNOLDS, N.D. (September 12, 2018) – The long, grueling Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car schedule comes to a close on Friday night at the series’ home track, River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. The night will feature two main events for the 410 Sprint Cars, including the regularly scheduled program and the August 31st make-up feature.
Coming into the night Jordan Adams, driver of the Home of Economy / DEKALB No. 20A, sits third in the River Cities Speedway point standings, 20 points out of the lead.
“Obviously with double features we want to close the year off on a good note,” said Adams. “It’s a pretty big weekend for my family as my older sister is getting married on Saturday. I am taking quite a bit of heat for missing the groom’s dinner Friday night, but I couldn’t think of a better way to cap off the weekend by celebrating a win at River Cities with all my family in town.”
Adams is getting closer to that first career River Cities Speedway win. The Reynolds, N.D. driver has collected six top fives and 10 top 10 finishes in 12 starts at the Bullring this year. His best finish is third, which came on both July 27th and August 3rd.
Last Friday night was the NOSA Blazin’ Challenge at River Cities Speedway. Adams raced to an eighth-place finish on the tricky and treacherous racing surface.
“It was kind of disappointing the conditions we had, but the track crew did what they could and did a good job with the hand they were dealt,” said Adams. “We ran into trouble early and had the front nose wing get knocked off so we were essentially out of contention with the heavy track surface as we were too tight to make things work.”
Come on out and watch Adams compete one last time this year at his home track. The green flag drops at 7pm on Friday night.
