Heading West: Mark Dobmeier to compete in next three World of Outlaws events

HPERRIS, Calif. (March 30, 2019) – The snow continues to melt in North Dakota and the local racing season seems to be a few weeks out yet in Grand Forks. However, Mark Dobmeier and the Buffalo Wild Wings Team 13 will return to action tonight with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at Perris Auto Speedway in California.

Tonight will be Dobmeier’s first-ever visit to Perris Auto Speedway – a semi-banked half-mile oval.

Following this weekend’s action, the Grand Forks, N.D. driver will head to Arizona with the World of Outlaws to compete at USA Raceway in Tucson on Friday, April 5 and Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek on Saturday, April 6.

“It’s always great to kick off your season with the World of Outlaws. They are obviously the best in the business so it’s a good gauge to see where our team is at right away at the start of the year and it’s a good time to try a few things on the setup before racing gets going again back home,” said Dobmeier.

Dobmeier competed in 13 World of Outlaws events in 2018. His best performance came on the second visit to River Cities Speedway by the Outlaws where the hometown favorite wheeled his way from 17th to finish second behind Donny Schatz in the main event.

Dobmeier opened his 2019 season earlier this year with a second place run on January 2nd at Bunbury Speedway in Australia aboard the Kendrick Racing No. 1USA.

Looking ahead to the rest of 2019, Dobmeier will once again be focusing on Friday night Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) racing at River Cities Speedway and select NOSA tour events across the Red River Valley. The Lunstra Motorsports / Dahlstrom Motors entry will also visit Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa several times throughout the year and hit most World of Outlaws shows in the upper Midwest.

The 2018 season was Dobmeier’s first as a car owner and tallied 12 wins in 33 races after building his team from scratch in less than six weeks. With a year under their belt, Dobmeier and Team 13 are ready to hit the ground running once again in 2019.

DirtVision.com will have free live audio and pay-per-view video coverage of all three upcoming World of Outlaws events.

Mark and the entire Team 13 Racing crew would like to thank all their sponsors for their support!
