GRAND FORKS, N.D. (April 10, 2019) – Brendan Mullen opened his 2019 campaign at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. during the Spring Meltdown this past weekend. A lot of great 360 competition was on hand for the event. The 15-year-old sophomore driver held his own all weekend and impressed a lot of folks at his first visit to a four-tenths mile oval.

On opening night, Friday, April 5th, with the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprint Series presented by Malvern Bank, the driver of the Auto Finance Super Center No.11M team took the green flag of the final heat race in third and battled his way to a second place finish. Mullen was in contention to pick up the win but came home second in what was a fierce three-car battle for the lead. This put Mullen in the redraw for the main event and he pulled the pole position. The Grand Forks, N.D. driver held is ground in the early going of the 25-lap feature and came away with a strong ninth-place run.

Night two of the Spring Meltdown on Saturday, April 6th had Mullen elbows up, transferring out of the B-main with a second place finish. Mullen started the final feature in the 18th spot and worked his way to 17th at the end of the 25-lap event.

The Express Employment Professionals No. 11M team is tentatively scheduled to fire back up April 26th and 27th at Park Jefferson Speedway in North Sioux City, S.D. for the S.D. Sprint Car Nationals.
