Brendan Mullen fast out of the gate at River Cities

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (May 21, 2019) – Brendan Mullen continued to turn heads this past Friday night as he drove the wheels off of his CL Linfoot No. 11M NOSA Sprint Car at the River Cities Speedway season opener.

While the final results page shows a 12th place start and finish for the second-year Sprint Car driver, Mullen had an eventful feature. The Grand Forks, N.D. driver avoided a five-car pile-up on the opening lap and took advantage of the numerous restarts to gain positions.

On the lap five restart, Mullen lined up to the inside of race leader, Mark Dobmeier. As the race went green, Mullen went toe-to-toe with NOSA’s all-time wins leader in pursuit of the lead. The two were side by side until Dobmeier eventually took the lead down the back straightaway. Shortly thereafter, Mullen suffered a mechanical failure which brought his night to an end early.

Up next, Mullen will head back to River Cities Speedway to compete with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints this Friday night. On Sunday, he will follow the 410 series to Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon, Minn. The event will be Mullen’s first-ever start at the semi-banked quarter-mile oval.

Brendan and the entire Mullen Motorsports team would like to thank all their sponsors for their support!
