REYNOLDS, N.D. (June 12, 2019) – The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars made their first of two trips to North Dakota this past weekend. On Friday night, Jordan Adams took on the Greatest Show on Dirt at his home track, River Cities Speedway.
“Friday was kind of a bummer all around. The weather really played a factor in the track conditions and we struggled,” said Adams of the hot, windy conditions that dried out the racing surface. “We went out later in qualifying and had a decent lap, but times were falling off by the time we went out.”
After qualifying, Adams was playing catch-up the rest of the night, but stayed out of trouble in the 40-lap main event to come home in 19th.
With NOSA’s event at Jamestown Speedway raining out on Saturday, the Home of Economy team made the trip to Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, Minn. with the Outlaws. This was Adams’ third career visit to Granite City and first since 2016.
“It’s a fun little track and atmosphere every time we have gone there,” said Adams of the semi-banked three-eighths mile oval. “The track was pretty good Saturday with a cushion right up on the wall and a very narrow bottom as well. It produced a heck of a feature there.”
Adams came home with a solid 15th place finish by the end of the 35-lapper.
This week, Adams returns to Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA action. The only event on the schedule this coming weekend will be Friday night at River Cities Speedway. The following weekend, things pick up as NOSA travels to four tracks in four nights in three states.
Jordan and the entire 20A team would like to thank all of their partners for their continued support!
