Adams’ Rollercoaster Weekend Ends on High Note at River Cities

REYNOLDS, N.D. (June 25, 2019) – The Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints’ four-race weekend was reduced to just two as Mother Nature washed out the two events scheduled in South Dakota on Saturday and Sunday.

The action began Thursday night at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. as the forecasted rain showers miraculously stayed away. The Jordan Adams Racing team battled mechanical issues all night long until the powerplant underneath the Home of Economy / DEKALB No. 20A expired during the main event.

“It was a rough night with the motor letting go with five to go in the feature,” Adams explained. “We actually had our spare car ready to go for Saturday and Sunday but ended up racing it Friday, which all worked out with the canceling of Brown County and Casino Speedway.”

Friday was also a night of adversity for the team, but they kept battling and never gave up.

“Friday night was just as big of a struggle as Thursday, unfortunately. In the heat race, we were pretty good but we lost our brake caliper under the first yellow so that made it hard to get through the corners there battling with second and third,” said Adams. “I tried to keep it three wide there at the end but got out of the throttle to save the car being I didn’t have any brakes.

“In the feature, we started deep and before we even got to the flagstand we had issues as the field checked up and the car behind us got into us which ultimately led to a broken right rear shock. The car was ill handling from then on so to come away with an eighth place finish was respectable.”

Starting 15th on the grid, Adams passed seven cars with a wounded race car and still nearly picked up the night’s hard charger award.

The Reynolds, N.D. driver currently sits tied for third in the River Cities Speedway Sprint Car point standings, just 16 markers out of the lead. Adams will return to River Cities this Friday night once again with the NOSA Sprints.

To date, Adams has one top five and four top tens in five starts at the three-tenths mile bullring in 2019.

Hot laps start at 6:30pm on Friday with time trials to follow. Racing begins at 7:00pm.

Jordan and the entire 20A team would like to thank all of their partners for their continued support!
