EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (July 18) – A tripleheader weekend with the Northern Lightning Sprint Association yielded two wins for Kelsi Pederson. The defending NLSA series champion picked up her second and third wins of the season at Tri-County Speedway in Wishek, N.D. and Jamestown (N.D) Speedway, respectively.
In both events, she swept both her heat race and the feature. On Friday night at Tri-County, Pederson started on the outside of row two before charging into the lead and holding off Dexter Dvergsten en route to the win.
On Saturday, she started third on the grid and took the second position from Josh Abrahamson on lap 12 of 20. From there, she set her sights on Dvergsten for the lead. Pederson waited until the final circuit to place her bid for the top spot and stole the win on the last lap.
The win at Jamestown Speedway is Pederson’s second in as many years.
Tucker also ran at Tri-County and Jamestown last weekend in his No. 27 Street Stock. His best outing of the three-race weekend came on Friday night at Tri-County, where he recorded a fourth-place finish. On Saturday at Jamestown, he finished 10th in a very stout feature lineup.
Joey wasn’t behind the wheel last weekend, but kept plenty busy keeping both Kelsi’s and Tucker’s cars tuned up.
On Friday, Joey and Tucker will return to River Cities Speedway. On Saturday, both Tucker and Kelsi will be in action.
The entire Joey Pederson Racing team would like to thank all of their great sponsors for their continued support!
