GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 18, 2019) – Wade Nygaard and the Auto Finance Super Center / Dahlstrom Motors team fought hard this weekend and earned two top-fives during the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car action.
Starting Friday night at River Cities Speedway, Nygaard finished second in his heat and lined up fourth on the starting grid for the feature. Nygaard ran in the fourth position in the early going, but slid off the track on lap three, putting him to the tail of the field.
The 10-time and defending NOSA champion used the remaining 22 laps to slice his way through the majority of the 20-car field to salvage a solid fifth-place finish.
Sunday the team eagerly unpacked at Red River Valley Speedway to close out the Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo, N.D. In a stacked heat race, Nygaard finished in the fourth spot which started him ninth for the feature.
Late in the feature, Nygaard found himself battling with Austin Pierce. However, the action was paused for a caution. Nygaard took advantage of a late-race restart and quickly moved from ninth to fifth, and by the end of the feature crossed the line in fourth.
This weekend, Wade will be competing at Jackson Motorplex on Friday with the Midwest Power Series. On Saturday, he will take on I-90 Speedway with the MSTS 360s. Nygaard has two wins this season with the Midwest Power Series, both coming at Cedar Lake Speedway.
Wade and the entire crew would like to thank their great sponsors for their continued support!
