Pierce Completes the Three-Peat at River Cities Speedway
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 25, 2019) – Austin Pierce is on fire in the month of July! The Opp Construction/Highland Excavating No. 2A has now collected three consecutive wins at River Cities Speedway with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Cars.
It was a one-race weekend for the No. 2A crew last week, with only River Cities Speedway on the schedule. Pierce had a perfect night, winning his heat race from seventh and the feature. Starting in the seventh spot for the feature as well, Pierce made a bid for the second spot on a lap 18 restart. He was able to slide Jade Hastings and set his sights on race leader Ty Hanten.
Again, Pierce took advantage of a late-race caution and was able to slide Hanten out of turn two to take over the race lead and ultimately take the checkered flag for his third consecutive River Cities Speedway feature win.
Pierce currently leads the River Cities Speedway 410 Sprint Car point standings now. He has a mere one-point lead over Nick Omdahl.
The Austin Pierce Racing team will be taking this weekend off before returning to action next Friday night at River Cities Speedway.
