GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 5, 2019) – Wade Nygaard and the Auto Finance Super Center team visited victory lane on Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints. The win was his first of the season at the Bulling, his third with NOSA and fourth win on the season overall.
After driving from fifth to second in his heat, Nygaard lined up fifth on the grid for the 25-lap feature. Nygaard quickly cracked the top three by lap four before setting his sights on Shane Roemeling and Nick Omdahl. Nygaard got by Omdahl on lap five to move into second. From there, the 10-time and defending NOSA champion patiently waiting to make a move on Roemeling for the lead, and did so on lap 14.
From there, Nygaard went on to hold of Omdahl for his 275th career win.
This weekend, Nygaard will head east to Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. for the doubleheader weekend. Tonight, Nygaard will be racing with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars and on Saturday, he will be running his 360 with the Midwest Power Series.
Cedar Lake has traditionally been one of Nygaard’s best tracks over the year. The Grand Forks driver picked up a $3,000 Midwest Power Series win at the high-banked three-eights mile oval back in April.
