Grosz Riding Momentum into the Jackson Motorplex 360 Nationals

By Spieker Promotions

HARWOOD, N.D. (August 30, 2019) – This weekend is the biggest race of the year for the 360 Sprint Cars at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. The Midwest Power Series and MSTS Sprints are teaming up for the DeKalb/Asgrow 360 Nationals in what is sure to attract one of the top fields of 360 drivers seen all year.

Perhaps no driver has more momentum coming into this weekend’s tripleheader at the four-tenths mile oval than Lee Grosz. Grosz is the most recent 360 Sprint Car winner at Jackson with his Midwest Power Series win on Saturday, August 17th. Grosz is also leading the Jackson Motorplex 360 points by four markers over Thomas Kennedy coming into this weekend’s action.

“We’ve got a couple of wins at Jackson this year. We had a good weekend last weekend and got another win so we’ve got a lot of momentum on our side. I think we’ve got our confidence up there so hopefully we can have some good runs on Friday and Saturday to get us locked into the top four on Sunday,” said Grosz.

Grosz’s third win of the season came last Friday night at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. The driver of the Moyle powered J&J No. 4J dominated the feature from the second starting position.

“The track was really good during the feature. We jumped out into the lead right away,” said Grosz. “It went green to checkered and it didn’t know how big of a lead I had. I was pushing as hard as I could and trying to be smooth but I almost had a little disaster on the last lap. I got into the wall going into turns three and four coming to the checkers. Luckily, I saved it but we ended up breaking the Jacobs ladder and bending the wheel.”

Still, Grosz hung on to pick up the win by over six seconds.

On Saturday, the team traveled to Knoxville Raceway for the season finale at the Sprint Car Capital of the World.

“This year was definitely my best season at Knoxville. We ended up settling for third in the feature. It wasn’t what we were looking for, but all in all, it was a good night. Any time you can run in the top five, let alone the top three at Knoxville, that’s a good night.”

The Lee Grosz Racing team welcomes aboard Kickass Beef Jerky for the remainder of the 2019 season! “We’re going to have a few samples at the trailer this weekend in Jackson so make sure to stop down after the races and try a few different samples,” said Grosz. Kickass Beef Jerky is a near 70-year-old Minnesota-based family business that sells a variety of products in 20 states. For more information, visit kickassbeefjerky.com.
