Kelsi and Tucker Pederson Continue to Click Off Top Five Finishes

By Spieker Promotions

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (August 22, 2019) – Kelsi and Tucker Pederson continue to click off top five finishes as they reach the homestretch of the 2019 season. Kelsi picked up top five finishes in her last two starts on Saturday night at Greenbush Race Park and last night at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo.

In each feature, she had to come from deep in the field and was the race’s hard charger both nights. On Saturday, she started 11th on the grid before rounding out the podium in third. On Wednesday, a sixth place finish in her heat put her back to the 12th starting position for the feature. The defending NLSA series champion moved her way forward to take the checkers in the fifth position.

Currently, Kelsi has a streak of eight consecutive top five finishes to her credit.

The next NLSA Lightning Sprint event will be the season finale on Sept. 13th at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

Last Saturday night at Greenbush Race Park, Tucker also scored a top five finish. After picking up the feature win at the speedway on Aug. 10th, Tucker returned to Greenbush looking to go back-to-back. The third-year Street Stock driver rolled off ninth for the 15-lap feature and worked his way up to fifth at the checkers. The fifth-place finish was Tucker’s third top five of the season at Greenbush.

After a week off from racing at River Cities Speedway, Tucker will return to the Bullring this Friday night. The Late Models will have the week off due to a special at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn.

Both Tucker and Kelsi will be racing on Saturday at Greenbush as well.

Last Friday night at River Cities, the NLRA Late Models shared the stage with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. Joey started on the outside of the front row for the 25-lap NLRA feature and jumped out to the early lead over Brad Seng. Joey led the first handful of laps until a mechanical failure plagued his No. 7P machine and forced him pitside.

The entire Joey Pederson Racing team would like to thank all of their great sponsors for their continued support!
