PITTSBORO, Ind. (August 4, 2019) – Brian VanMeveren is coming off a solid nine day stretch with the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car tour. The action kicked off July 17th at Eldora Speedway for the make-up date of the #LetsRaceTwo event, which led right into Indiana Sprint Week, featuring eight races in 10 days.

Indiana Sprint Week had its ups and downs for VanMeveren, but ultimately he and the team built momentum after the grueling mid-summer swing. VanMeveren made three of the first four main events to start Sprint Week, but got caught up in somebody else’s mess on July 21st at Lawrenceburg.

VanMeveren ended up getting upside down in the wreck. VanMeveren and the crew relentlessly stayed up all night getting the car repaired for the next event at the Terre Haute Action Track.

“I hired crew chief Brian Cripe for the second half of Sprint Week. That really helped things,” said VanMeveren. “We actually learned a lot that we will be able to carry with us for the rest of the season.”

VanMeveren made five of the eight A-mains along the Sprint Week tour with a best finish of 16th at Terre Haute.

Next up, VanMeveren will travel to Kokomo Raceway in Kokomo, Indiana for the USAC Kokomo Smackdown. Coming into the four-night Smackdown, VanMeveren holds the USAC National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year point lead by a mere one point.

“Kokomo is one of my favorite tracks,” said VanMeveren. “We run pretty decent there. We’ve got a couple of tricks up our sleeve going in. We’re going to come out swinging. I’m really looking forward to the Smackdown.”

VanMeveren would like to thank all of his sponsors for their continued support!
