Pederson gears up for John Seitz Memorial weekend at River Cities

By Spieker Promotions

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (September 5, 2019) – It’s time again for the biggest Late Model event of the year at River Cities Speedway. The 13th annual John Seitz Memorial kicks off tonight with the NLRA season championship, followed by qualifying on Friday and the big $9,200-to-win finale on Saturday.

Coming into the weekend, Joey Pederson has one win, eight top fives and 11 top tens in 13 starts at River Cities Speedway in 2019. In his last two starts in the 92-lap A-main, Pederson has finished 11th and fifth, respectively, against the best competition WISSOTA has to offer.

Perhaps the best performance of his career at the Seitz Memorial came in 2014 where he charged from 23rd to nearly win the feature, finishing second in the closest finish in Seitz Memorial history.

Pederson was in action at the Bullring last Friday night. A second-place run in his heat put him fourth in the starting lineup for the feature. Pederson took the checkers in the fourth position to record his 10th overall top-five finish of the season.

Kelsi Pederson picked up two podium finishes at Greenbush Race Park in her Lighting Sprint over the weekend. On Saturday, she charged from seventh to finish in third. On Sunday, she came from ninth to finish in the second position.

Tucker Pederson also raced both nights at Greenbush. He picked up a pair of seventh-place finishes in his No. 27P WISSOTA Street Stock.

The entire Joey Pederson Racing team would like to thank all of their great sponsors for their continued support!
