2019 Season-In-Review: Another Banner Year for Lee Grosz
HARWOOD, N.D. (October 31, 2019) – With the 2019 season in the rearview mirror, it’s time to take a look back at another incredible year for the Lee Grosz Racing team. The 2019 season yielded many highlights for Grosz, including a Jackson 360 Nationals win, the Jackson Motorplex 360 track championship, a starting spot in the Knoxville 360 Nationals championship A-main and finishing runner-up in the Midwest Power Series point standings.
“The biggest highlight of the year was obviously winning the Jackson 360 Nationals. That was huge. That one had been on my bucket list to win for a few years,” said Grosz. “We ran pretty consistently throughout the second half of the year. We clicked off four wins from the middle of July to the end of the year. We had pretty good speed everywhere we went.”
In 23 events this season, Grosz racked up four wins, 13 top fives, 16 top tens and five heat wins. In his final seven events of the season, Grosz claimed six podium finishes, including three wins.
Grosz picked up the Jackson Motorplex 360 Sprint Car track championship by 41 markers over both Jack Dover and Trey Starks. Grosz finished inside the top five in each of his seven visits to the 4/10th mile oval and claimed three feature wins at the speedway.
“I’m looking forward to getting ready for 2020,” continued Grosz. “We might end up making a few minor changes for next year, but we will still be running the same engine and chassis. With the way the 2019 season ended, I’m really looking forward to 2020.”
Tentatively, Grosz expects to have a similar schedule in 2020 to that of this year’s – hit the higher-paying 360 shows in the upper Midwest and choose the tracks and events in which he wants to run.
Lee and the entire team would like to thank all their sponsors for their continued support!
