Adams gears up for NOSA doubleheader
REYNOLDS, N.D. (June 25, 2020) – The first two-race weekend of the season for the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints kicks off tonight at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn.
This evening’s event will be the first of two at the high-banked three-eighths mile oval this season.
Adam’s best run at Norman County Raceway came in 2018 when he won his heat race and scored a fourth-place finish.
“Norman County has produced some really fun races over the years,” said Adams. “Hopefully we get another one tonight.”
The green flag drops at 7:00 pm. If you can’t make it to NCR, the races can be heard live on KRJB 106.5FM or RJbroadcasting.com.
On Friday night, Adams will head back to his home track, River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, for the fourth consecutive week.
Last Friday night, Adams was hindered by mechanical issues early on in the evening.
“We had a fuel issue In the heat race Friday that made us lose a little power, so we dropped a few spots in the heat race which hurt us for the feature,” he said. “Unfortunately, the same thing happened in the beginning of the feature but an early yellow allowed us to adjust and the car ran better after.”
Adams was able to climb up the running order from the 15th starting position to take the checkers in 12th.
“We will keep plugging along with the car, but hopefully the track is in some better shape Friday,” said Adams of the somewhat newly reconfigured River Cities Speedway. “It’s been pretty one lane the first few weeks.”
