HARWOOD, N.D. (June 10) – Lee Grosz’s strong start to the 2020 season continued on Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. With twenty-four 360s checked in for action at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Grosz came away with a top 10 finish in the main event. “There’s really good competition at Knoxville so any time you can go down there and run in the top 10, it’s a good night,” said Grosz. “I feel like we were just a little off all night long from the start of hot laps. Towards the end of the feature, we started rolling pretty good, but I feel like we were a little off all night and got behind the eight-ball in time trials.”

Grosz timed in 14th quick in time trials but followed that up with a win in heat race number two from the second starting position. That put the driver of the Moyle powered J&J No. 4J in the seventh starting position for the main event.

Despite winning his heat, Grosz missed the feature invert by just one spot. Jon Agan, who qualified 13th and won the first heat race, started on the pole for the feature while Grosz, who qualified 14th, started seventh.

Grosz raced to an eighth-place finish in the 18-lap feature.

“The last eight laps or so of the feature, I felt like we really gained some speed. We’ve got a few ideas on how we can help out the car and hopefully the next time we go back there we can pick up a little speed.”

Grosz will be taking this weekend off before returning to Knoxville again on June 20th.

Lee and the entire team would like to thank all their sponsors for their continued support!
