Jordan Adams kicks off 2020 with top 10 at NOSA opener
REYNOLDS, N.D. (June 11, 2020) – It came four weeks later than anticipated, but the 2020 Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car season finally got underway last Friday night at the series’ home track, River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.
For Jordan Adams, it was a night of getting comfortable in the seat again and getting used to the new banking at the three-tenths mile oval.
After a sixth-place finish in his heat, Adams lined up 11th on the grid for the 25-lap feature.
“We kind of struggled all the way around Friday chasing the handling of the car,” Adams admitted. “The driver was also a little rusty but as the night went on I started to feel more comfortable in the car. We still had an ill-handling car in the feature, but made the most of it and put the car in the trailer and live to fight another day.”
Adams moved forward in the feature to capture a 10th-place finish.
“We threw a whole new setup in the car this week so we will see how things shakedown. I feel a little better now that the dust is knocked off on my end. Hopefully, we unload with some speed and we can make some small adjustments and be competitive,” said an optimistic Adams.
Adams will return to action this Friday night with the NOSA Sprints at River Cities Speedway. Time trials start at 6:30pm, followed by racing at 7:00pm.
