Kelsi’s Devils Lake win highlights weekend for Pederson Racing

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (June 24, 2020) – Another weekend of racing yielded another feature win for Lightning Sprint driver, Kelsi Pederson. Pederson dominated the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprint feature at Devils Lake Speedway for her third victory of the 2020 season.
After charging from sixth to win her heat race, Pederson again started in the sixth position for the 20-lap main event.
Pederson wasted no time moving forward as she cracked the top three on lap three after moving from fourth into second. The driver of the Northland Sheds / AdMonkey.com No. 93 took over the lead on lap eight and never looked back.
She went on to claim her second Devils Lake win of 2020 by over five seconds.
On Friday night at River Cities Speedway, Pederson raced to a solid fourth-place finish. Through her first eight events of the season, she has collected an incredible seven podium finishes.
The third week of Late Model action at River Cities Speedway was held on Friday night. Joey Pederson got the night started off on the right foot as he picked up the heat win from the third starting position. He concluded the evening with a sixth-place finish in the main event.
A stout field of WISSOTA Street Stocks were on hand Friday night at the Bullring as the inaugural Street Stock Tour rolled into town. Mired in a stacked heat, Tucker finished seventh in his heat race, which relegated him to the B-main. Tucker ran a good race in the B, but finished outside of a transfer spot in seventh.
The Street Stock Tour was also at Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday. The night went better for Tucker as he moved his way forward in the main event, advancing from 15th to finish 12th.
It’ll be another doubleheader weekend for all three Joey Pederson Racing drivers. Both Joey and Tucker will be racing at River Cities Speedway on Friday and Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday. Saturday’s event will be the NLRA season opener.
Kelsi will head back to Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo to try to defend her race win there two weeks ago. On Saturday, she will join Joey and Tucker at Devils Lake Speedway with the Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprints.
