NOSA Opener at River Cities & I-90 Speedway on Tap for Nygaard

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 5, 2020) – The time has finally come for the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints to open their 2020 season at the series’ home track, River Cities Speedway. Wade Nygaard will be in action at the Bullring tonight in his Auto Finance Super Center No. 9N. On Saturday, Nygaard will return to I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D. to compete with the MSTS 360 Sprints.
Nygaard has three career season opener wins at River Cities Speedway. Two of which came in back to back years in 2015 and 2016, while his first came during the 2002 opener.
Nygaard scored one win at River Cities in 2019 and led all drivers with 10 top-five finishes in 13 starts.
The 10-time NOSA champion had a strong night going last Saturday night at I-90 Speedway until mechanical issues in the feature brought his night to an end early. Nygaard wheeled his way from fourth to win his heat. That put him in the fourth starting position for the main event. However, Nygaard was forced into the pit area just two laps into the feature.
Tonight’s races at River Cities Speedway start at 7:00pm with NOSA time trials at 6:30pm.
