GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 30, 2020) – Brad Seng’s quest for a fifth NLRA series championship got off to a great start on Saturday night during the series opener as Seng picked up the win at Devils Lake Speedway.

Seng led the field to the green flag from the pole position but filed into second in the early going behind Dustin Strand.

Seng took the lead on lap four but had his hands full with Strand and Joey Pederson until the halfway point.

On lap 10, Seng took the lead for good, but still had Strand hot on his heels. Seng went on to claim his 38th career NLRA win by 1.2 seconds over Strand.

“I knew the 71 (Dustin Strand) was coming. You run around scared when you know he’s chasing you,” said Seng in victory lane.

The night before, Seng was in action at River Cities Speedway. He recorded a fifth place finish after starting in the eighth position.

Next week, Seng will return to River Cities Speedway for weekly racing before following the NLRA tour to Greenbush Race Park. Seng has four career NLRA wins at Greenbush with his most recent win coming on July 15, 2017.
