Adams Scores Another Top Five At River Cities

REYNOLDS, N.D. (July 23, 2020) – After finishing just outside the top ten at Red River Valley Speedway one night prior, Jordan Adams got back into the top five column after a run from deep in the field.

After making a pair of passes in his heat race to finish sixth, Adams earned enough passing points to start tenth in Sunday nights’ main event at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

Adams slipped back to 12th early in the 25-lapper, but improved five spots on lap four. Near the midway point of the race, Adams lost a couple positions, before rebounding once again.

From laps fourteen to sixteen, Adams made three passes to move into sixth. After the event’s final red flag with six laps remaining, Adams was in a three way battle with Jack Croaker and Brendan Mullen for the runner-up spot.

Adams spent most of those remaining circuits even with Mullen’s inside, but fell just short at the line, scoring his second top five in eight days.

“We had a strong run” Adams said post-race. “I feel like I left a couple spots on the table and should have maybe forced the issue a little more but it was tough to pass on the bottom. We kept our nose clean and were right up there in the mix for a runner up finish. All in all, it was a good ending following Saturday.

“We have passed quite a few cars, but we have been able to keep our nose clean for the most part.” Adams said after another top five after starting deep in the field. “If you want a chance to win a race you have to be there on lap 25, and I’ve always believed that. We’re starting to get a few things figured out, so hopefully we can start more towards the front and be a contender.”

This Saturday night, after another Friday night at River Cities, Adams will head to the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND, where he has won in the past.

“I feel good to be going back to a track we have had success at,” Adams said on hia return to Jamestown. “We are riding a little wave of momentum and have high expectations for both races this weekend.”

Jordan and the entire 20A team would like to thank all of their partners for their continued support!
