Kelsi Pederson’s Fifth Win Highlights Weekend For Pederson Racing

By Spieker Promotions

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (July 28, 2020) – With week two in the books at Greenbush Race Park, it was Kelsi Pederson who was victorious in the No. 93 Shawn Horn Crary Realtor / Olson Underground Henchcraft with the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprints.

With a second-place finish in her heat, Kelsi was slated to start eighth in the main event.

Kelsi, as she did one week prior, wasted little time moving forward. By the completion of the first lap, she had already moved up to third. Despite swapping third and fourth with Cody Swenson on a number of occasions in the first half of the 15-lap race, Kelsi held the third spot when a caution came out just past the halfway point.

Kelsi got the best of the ensuing restart, making passes on Corey Olson and Bryce Haugeberg to take the lead.

She led the final six circuits to win her fifth feature of the 2020 campaign by nearly three seconds. In the last two races at Greenbush, Kelsi has passed 19 cars, finishing second and first, respectively.

On Friday night at River Cities, the Pederson boys were in action on Mid-Season Track Championship night at the speedway. Both Joey and Tucker won their heat races, with Joey winning from the pole, and Tucker winning from the third starting position.

Tucker started third in his feature, but slid back to fourth on the third lap. After holding off Trey Hess to keep the fourth spot, Tucker moved back to third after a caution on the sixth lap.

Tucker took the second spot on the completion of lap six and stayed within a car length of leader, Ryan Johnson, for the next few circuits, but completed the 15-lap race as the runner-up.

Tucker was also in action on Saturday in Greenbush, where he won his heat again, and started fifth in the main event. After moving to fourth early, Tucker eventually finished the night with a sixth-place run.

Joey started third in his only feature of the weekend at River Cities. Joey ran fifth for the final 18 laps of the 20-lap Late Model feature, scoring his sixth top-five in 10 races in 2020.

This weekend, all three cars in the Pederson Racing stable will run at River Cities Speedway on Friday night, before Tucker heads back to Greenbush, and Kelsi heads to Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND with the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprints.

The entire Joey Pederson Racing team would like to thank all of their great sponsors for their continued support!
